Collateral Management – Security, Insurance, Quality and Customs Approval
We have extensive experience
in providing Collateral Management Services and have developed
excellent relationships with most Structured Trade and Commodity
Finance Banks.
As a Collateral Management
Service we're able to act as the custodian of the goods pledged to
the Bank and stored in our warehouse . The Bank then provides
finance against the security of the goods/commodities pledged by
the company or individual to the Bank.
Security
We recognise the importance
of providing secure working environments and secure operational
procedures for our customers and their goods, cargoes and
documentation.
All our sites are safe
working environments, with manned security entrances and exits to
Port environments.
Security at our storage
facilities is provided by 24 hour security response and
combinations of cctv coverage, contact and infra red alarm systems
and security pass access.
Stock Control
Systems
We run a web-based
Electronic Stock Control system which allows customers 24 hour
access to their stocks via unique passwords. We can send out
reports on receipts / deliveries of metal, and stock reports are
available on demand by both location and metal. We send automatic
monthly stock reports to all our customers, but if you'd like them
on a more regular basis, please just ask.
We also run a Freight
Management System for the control and issuance of documentation,
whilst metals are moved under our supervision.
Insurance
Our comprehensive series of
insurance policies covers our global warehousing and logistics
activities.
Specifically, we have
Warehouseman's Liability Cover for warehousing risks.
Please note that goods
stored with NEMS are not covered by us: this must be provided by
you, the owner. However, NEMS carries cover for up to £2m per claim
for Unexplained Losses (pieces or weight of metal), Fraudulent Use
of Warrants, Fire, Theft, Legal Liability, Fraud and dishonesty of
the warehouse personnel, servant or agent and Errors or Omissions
cover of £500k. We operate under UKWA, and BIFFA Terms and
Conditions. Please see our
Terms and
Conditions.
Quality and Customs
Approval
Our Warehousing arm has a
long-established internal quality assurance system based upon the
principles of ISO9001:2000. We are approved to run Customs
facilities, recognised as 'Authorised Economic Operators'(AEO) and
'Fiscal Representative' in Europe, Foreign Trade Zone Operators in
USA and approved by local customs in all other locations.
