The Port provides a central location for the delivery of metals and goods shipped to and from the Baltic to supply the major UK conurbations.

Distribution by Rail

A strong internal infrastructure and exclusive dockside links with the national rail network give immediate access to the whole of the UK.

Distribution by Sea

Equipped to handle a diverse range of cargoes, the Port of Sunderland provides first class riverside and in-dock facilities at the mouth of the River Wear. A tidal deep-water quay facilitates the receipt and despatch of all types of cargo.
